Participants at this workshop discussed the provision of ‘targeted support’ which focuses on children already within the statutory children’s social care system as distinct from traditional ‘early help’ approaches. Discussion focused on ideas around developing and testing different approaches to providing targeted support and understanding how these ideas could help to address the needs of children in a more effective way, reducing the need for more intensive forms of intervention.
