Participants at this workshop discussed Martin Narey’s review of residential care and explored opportunities to put some of his recommendations into practice. The workshop followed the publication of Putting Children First, the Department for Education’s vision for children’s social care, which set our ambitions to explore new approaches to delivering and commissioning residential care and piloting Staying Close.
